It had been my parent’s house, I got married while living in that house, then I raised my children in that house, then I was separated and then finally had went through a painful divorce in that house... WOW, so much to let go of! Plus, consider the years of clutter that accumulated in that home! What was even more concerning though was how much work the house really needed… it wasn’t exactly "move in ready" for new buyers. both of us are not in the best of health, so Gerry took on the resposibility of looking for exctly what we wanted in a townhouse, saw the town houses and showed us what we needed to see. Without his resourcefulness, coordination, insight, and support, we would likely still be buried sifting through 27 years of memories (and 60 years of parent’s stuff too…). Instead, we are happily enjoying our new home and celebrating the sale of our former home. Beginning with our very first meeting with Gerry to discuss selling, it was clear he was the right person to get our house on the market and SOLD! He immediately helped us (1) narrow down what touch-ups were important vs “nice-to-haves”, (2) prioritize what to begin reducing / packing (27 years means a lot of stuff), (3) schedule resources from his vast network to do needed work, and (4) work through the best approach to putting a house on the market in the early days of COVID19. Gerry’s guidance and support took a huge weight off our shoulders; especially since at the same time we were finalizing our purchase and move to a home 3.5 hours away. While we purged and packed 😊 Gerry was busy researching the neighborhood and nearby parks and even put together an amazing video to introduce potential buyers to the beauty and history of Rattray Marsh (a very short walk from our home). He and his videographer did an amazing job with that video as well as the videos and pictures used in listing the property. From our first meeting all the way through to Post-Sale, Gerry and his team were so COMMUNICATIVE. He is proactive, detailed, super-organized, timely (and always on-time), and very inclusive. We never had to ask for an update since he always beat us to it. We must mention that Gerry REALLY does whatever it takes to support his clients. Due to the pandemic, we moved to our new home before we finished the preparations for the Sale. That meant as workers were finishing up the odds and ends at the house, Gerry coordinated with the resources to enable access to the home and assisted in getting supplies that were needed when retail stores closed their doors. And – thankfully Gerry has a large SUV that was transport for more than a few loads of stuff for donations, storage, and, safe-keeping. Amazing. During the stages of Offer and Closing, Gerry provided all the details we would need to notify utilities, insurance, and the myriad of other contacts that we hadn’t even thought of.
